Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Tournament Betting Preview

The Colonial Athletic Association is known for making noise in March Madness. Former conference member George Mason University got into the 2006 NCAA Tournament as an at large 11 seed. The Patriots defied the experts in beating Michigan State, North Carolina, Wichita State and Connecticut to become the first mid major to reach the Final Four. Virginia Commonwealth University duplicated Mason's feat in 2011. VCU beat USC, Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State, and Kansas before falling in the Final 4. VCU and Mason both used the momentum from the Final 4 to grow their basketball programs and eventually left for the Atlantic 10.

This conference spans the East coast. It goes from South Carolina all the way up to Boston. Member schools include College of Charleston, Delaware, Drexel, Elon University, Hofstra, James Madison, Northeastern U, Towson, UNC Wilmington and the college of William & Mary.

Their conference tournament will be played in Charleston, South Carolina. The Hofstra Pride have had an outstanding 2019 season. Player Justin-Wright Foreman has been averaging 26 points a game. They only lost by 2 points to formidable VCU and have won a lot of CAA games. They are currently in first place of the conference standings as teams position themselves for the tournament in Charleston. Another contender would happen to be Northeastern.

You can't count out the home city's team in the College of Charleston. There is a solid probability that the Cougar fans will pack their home arena. The schools from the South usually have had better turnout from their fanbases at the conference tournament as opposed to the teams from north of the Mason Dixon line like Drexel, North Eastern or Hofstra.

The CAA Tournament will be played from March 9th to the 12th. Online sports books will have lines on each day's games. Bet on who you think will be celebrating in Charleston.
